As a psychotherapist, I am constantly reviewing material to broaden and assist me in my counseling practice as I enjoy recommending bibliotherapy when appropriate. I am looking for material that is of sound educational value, enjoyable and interesting. The Parenting Shoppe, by Linda Patterson, is a wonderful example of these qualities. I found the exercises exceptionally practical, clear and understandable. I also found the perspective of the child charming, beautifully creative and heartwarming, giving the reader a uniquely personal and emotional experience. As a psychotherapist, i appreciate The Parenting Shoppe as a sound clinical tool to recommend in therapy. As a father, I appreciate the gentle, reassuring and supportive nature of The Parenting Shoppe.
